Personal Description:

I am an Italian native speaker and professional Italian teacher with 8 years of experience. I believe that learning is the fuel of life and an open mind can change the world; this is why I love to help people throughout their language learning journeys. I am currently based in Italy, so I'm only offering online tutoring.

Tuition Experience:

I have a 8 year experience in teaching Italian to both children and adults, which I acquired by giving lessons to people from all walks of life. I have a Bachelor Degree in Foreign Languages and a Masters Degree in Teaching Italian to non native speakers.

Tutoring Approach:

I love sharing my language and culture with whoever is open to it. I truly believe that learning a language is like practising any other skill, so the key to success is practice, practice, practice! This said, my main goal is to make learners feel confident with the language, whether it is for passing an exam, talking to an Italian barista, or writing a work paper. Therefore, mutual understanding with my students is cruucial! I always try to create programs that respond to my students' needs, both in terms of content and methods.

From Grant (5/5): Stella is a wonderful tutor. extremely approachable, professional and highly responsive. She has always responded brilliantly to our specific goals and learning needs and has always been able to deftly alter the delivery of her tutoring to respond to our developing proficiency and ambitions with the program. My wife and I take the class with Stella together and it is one of the great highlights of our week. We cannot recommend Stella highly enough, and we have no doubt that our progression in Italian has benefitted enormously from her input. We would give her 6/5 if we could.

From Holly (5/5): Stella is a wonderful Italian teacher. Her lessons are so well organised and engaging; I've always learned something new by the end of them. She's also been very flexible! Sometimes I have more time to put into learning during the week, and when that's the case she always has recommendations of where to focus my attention. Sometimes things are busy and I can only just keep up with the weekly lessons, and when that's the case she's always happy to just continue on slowly, adding new lessons to the mix at a speed I can manage.

I've been having weekly lessons with Stella for six or seven months now. They've been great fun, and I'm really happy with my progress.

She is able to answer any question we have, is engaged in each lesson and always has a clear structure. Of course and perhaps most importantly, we have fun too.
