Are you a senior Biology student needing clarification of concepts or exam technique help?
Well here I am to help you.

I am currently a high school Science teacher, with senior biology as my primary subject area. I also teach all years of Science from 7-12, and can teach primary school Maths.
With a friendly approach, innovative, applicable activities and methodology, I can assist with cementing the understanding of any difficult subject area.

For seniors I teach in a content skills based approach, with a focus on exam style methodology to aid with you gaining the best possible marks in exams.

My qualifications include a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Sydney University and a Bachelor of Teaching in Secondary Education from UTS. I am currently a teacher in Newtown, and am able to travel to you.

From Jennifer (5/5): My son is being tutored by Sophie in senior Biology to fill the gaps in syllabus which were somehow not covered at school over what have been two very difficult years for all teachers and students. I couldn't be more pleased with Sophie as a tutor: she is extremely competent and a lovely person, and has given my son confidence and me peace of mind. She has devised a clear program for him to follow and provided the necessary supplementary resources to do so. In the higher years of school, I think it's important to have a qualified teacher like Sophie as a tutor - she knows her subject, but also how to communicate this knowledge. She has the insight to identify areas that need revision or correction and understands the expectations for assessment. Sophie is very highly recommended.

From Zoe (5/5): Where to begin, I’ve just gone back to university to do a marsters in teaching, my previous degree was in performing arts. I have a learning disability but nervously decided to go for it.
Sophie is such a wonderful teacher it’s the first time I have enjoyed learning and it’s because of her, she is able to modify her teaching style to fit the way I learn, she has a endless supply of resources, I am learning things that I never thought I could and at no point have I felt like I couldn’t do something, she is encouraging and warm.
I would recommend her in a heart beat.
