Personal Description:

I am a highly organised ESL teacher with a Diploma of TESOL and a Certificate III in Education Support. I am extremely committed to the welfare and promotion of student’s learning. As an experienced support teacher in a school, I possess confidence and enthusiasm with excellent communication and time management skills. I believe in motivating students to achieve and exceed their personal goals by stimulating their learning abilities and determination to succeed. In addition to this, I also have experience in creating meaningful lessons and activities, while being creative in tailoring lessons to accommodate individual learning styles.

Tuition Experience:

I have over 4 years’ experience working in a support teaching position in a school from Prep - 12. My duties included assisting students with the implementation of planned educational programs, planning and delivering language, reading and writing programs, and provision of supplemental in-class and cooperative EALD support to ESL students. Additionally, during the time I was studying my Diploma of TESOL I completed my Practice Teaching Training with adult students at TAFE Queensland, as well as in the ESL department of a school with 7-8 year old students.

Tutoring Approach:

I firstly assess or evaluate each student to determine the essentials for syllabus planning and ongoing development that is responsive to student’s needs. I consider what is appropriate to the needs of the student by developing methods and approaches suitable to the personal and individual goals. I tailor my lessons with good quality instruction ensuring the basics are taught correctly and with the students age, learning style, goals and capacity, being considered.
