Tutoring Approach:

Learning and instrument can be quite a difficult thing, especially when you’re a beginner. It’s very common for a beginner to get lost; I know it happened to me. You can Google and YouTube as much as you want, but without a plan and an idea/understanding of how things work your more than likely going to suffer from information overload which more than often results in people sadly giving up because playing an instrument is apparently just “too hard” for them when in fact the problem was they had no idea where to start, no idea what to do and instead jumped ahead of themselves and because they found it “too hard” they became discouraged. Put it this way, there is no way you’d be able to write a story if you can’t read is there? The same thing applies to learning an instrument. Learning the guitar for example is a process, it takes time, patience, practice and motivation. I know, from previous students I’ve had, that these things are very difficult to abide by without someone who can teach you and guide you along the way. That’s where we come in… At **Removed By Admin**, when a new student first comes in, we generally like to start with a few questions about their interest in music, how long they’ve been learning/playing, are they a beginner or advanced and just generally where they’d like to go in their journey of learning an instrument. Once I know more about them and what they’d like to get out of the lessons we construct a lesson plan that’s specifically tailored to their needs and aspirations as an aspiring musician and then from there we work together to reach their goal.
