Hello, my name is Pooja and I am a postgraduate in Mathematics. My qualification is B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Ed… M.Sc. (Maths). I am very passionate about Maths and teaching is a hobby. I have experience in teaching in Melbourne, India and London (Secondary level maths) with specialization in VCE Maths Method, Further Maths and Specialists Maths. I am happily married and have two kids.

Tuition Experience:

I am an experienced Mathematics teacher with over 12 years of teaching in both secondary schools and as a Private teacher. I am a post graduate in Mathematics; qualification is B.Sc. (Computer Science), B.Ed… M.Sc. (Maths). I have experience in private teaching in Melbourne, London and India (Secondary level maths) with specialization in VCE Maths Method, Specialist Maths and Further Maths. Currently I am teaching Maths to students from leading Private, Public and Selective schools in Melbourne.

I also specialize in crash course in preparation of VCE Maths Method, Further Maths & Specialist Maths.

Individual - $75
Group (3 students in a group) - $40 per student

Key aspect of my teaching experience is that I have seen/taught so many students who hated maths before but now maths is their favorite subject and they are doing really well after I helped them in maths. My aim while teaching is to make students understand how a problem works, rather than simply trying to find a correct answer. With this approach, I try to focus on overall understanding of the problem, break down the problem into individual parts, and encourage students to think through and then solve the problem. My strength is determination, positive attitude, punctuality, sincerity, commitment towards teaching, hard work, self-confidence, quick adaptability to new environment and learning from every moment of life.

Tutoring Approach:

Approach is to make learning interesting. Topics to be covered are divided into logical concepts and for every concept, there will be an assessment which will be shared with the parents. Students schools curriculum will be followed or as per the upcoming assessments in the school or as per the students weak areas.
