Personal Description:

I’m a dedicated Mathematics teacher with over 15 years of experience teaching both in schools and as a private tutor. I hold a B.Sc. in Computer Science, a B.Ed… and an M.Sc. in Mathematics. I’ve taught students in Melbourne, London, and India, specialising in VCE Maths Methods, Specialist Maths, and Further Maths. For the past five years, I have been teaching mathematics to students from leading private, public, and selective schools in Melbourne, fostering a deep understanding of mathematical concepts and building students' confidence.

My teaching approach is focused on helping students understand the "why" behind mathematical concepts, not just the "how" of solving problems. I believe that building a strong foundation in problem-solving and critical thinking leads to both academic success and a genuine appreciation for the subject.

In addition to my professional life, I am happily married with two young children. I understand the importance of balancing work and family life, and I strive to bring that same balance, patience, and commitment into my teaching.

Hourly Rate
Individual Lessons: $90/hr
Group Lessons (3-4 students): $40 per student

Teaching Philosophy
What I find most rewarding about teaching is seeing students transform from disliking maths to truly enjoying the subject. Many of my students have gone from struggling with complex concepts to excelling in their exams, often citing their newfound love for maths. My approach centers on ensuring students not only arrive at the correct answer but also understand the reasoning behind it. I focus on breaking down problems into manageable parts, fostering critical thinking, and encouraging students to approach challenges with confidence.

Tutoring Approach:

Approach is to make learning interesting. Topics to be covered are divided into logical concepts and for every concept, there will be an assessment which will be shared with the parents. Students schools curriculum will be followed or as per the upcoming assessments in the school or as per the students weak areas.
