Information about Paula - Sunbury tutor

Personal Description:

I am an experienced educator and have worked in WA, ACT and now reside in Victoria. I am passionate about every child and adult in Australia having the right to an education and through that a successful and fulfilling life. I see myself as a lifelong learner and learn as much through my students as they learn through me.

Tuition Experience:

I have over 20 years experience in Mainstream Primary Teaching and EAL (English as a second language teaching) from Primary through to Adult Education.
I am presently teaching both EAL Teaching and Mainstream Primary Teaching. It is an honour to assist students to achieve at the highest level possible.

I have a BA (Cultural Heritage Studies), Graduate Diploma Teaching (Primary) and a TESOL qualification (Graduate Certificate in Teaching English to students of other languages) and a Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

Tutoring Approach:

I believe in working with the client as to the areas in which they need help in. This can be providing strategies or reviewing the client's knowledge or assisting them to gain confidence. I can do my own assessments, in conjunction with looking at reports, discussions with parents and teachers and discussions with children and others as to which areas and what they need help in. It is a combination of tutor, child (if relevant), parents and others (such as potentially school teachers) working together to assist the client.
