Information about Martin - Katherine tutor

Personal Description:

I am currently working as a civil Engineer in the Northern Territory with 6 years in the field.

I was a good student, more interested in sport than maths at the time but was able to obtain good results in advanced maths and went onto a career in the Maths/science field.

I'm looking to assist Students preferably 7-10 in Katherine NT around my full time work. please get in contact to discuss

Tuition Experience:

I don't have a great deal of teaching experience however I have experience in sport coaching.

Tutoring Approach:

Preferably get a lookahead at questions, assignments or exam papers to go over to find and knowledge gaps or areas of difficulty with the student.

From there I like to get back to the basics on the specific topics and look at a different approach. I feel the best way for kids learn a subject is to get them to be able to explain things in their own words. We work interactively until the subject clicks in the students preferred thought process.

Especially with maths, being able to imagine the equation or topic is the first step in being able to apply the knowledge.
