Hi! I’m Linus, a Biomedicine (Honours) graduate with First Class Honours, currently on path for an MD/PhD. I’ve been tutoring since 2019, and I’m passionate about helping students gain confidence, master content, and reach their goals, whether that’s a personal best or a 40+ study score.

Tuition Experience:

I’ve been tutoring since 2019, after completing VCE with raw scores of 44 in Biology, 43 in Chemistry, and 43 in English. Over the past 5+ years, I’ve supported students across a range of abilities—from those aiming to pass to those targeting 40+ study scores. More than 10 of my students have achieved raw 40+ in VCE subjects.

I tutor Biology, Chemistry, and English at the VCE level, as well as all subjects from Years 5–10 (pre-VCE). I’ve worked with students from a variety of schools and backgrounds, and have experience teaching one-on-one, in small groups, and online. In addition to academic tutoring, I’ve also supported students with SAC preparation, exam strategies, time management, and confidence-building.

Tutoring Approach:

My approach is warm, structured, and student-centred. I tailor lessons to each student’s unique learning style, goals, and level of confidence. My priority is to create a space where students feel comfortable asking questions and engaging deeply with the material.

I focus on building strong foundations and linking concepts in a way that makes them easier to understand and apply. For VCE students, I place a strong emphasis on exam-style questions, study design alignment, and SAC/exam preparation. For younger students, I use interactive methods to keep them engaged while developing their skills.

Ultimately, I want my students to walk away not just with better marks, but with confidence in their thinking, clarity in their communication, and a genuine curiosity for learning.
