Hi, my name is Kylie and I'd love to help you do your best in English, so that you can take the next steps toward your future! With over 10 years' teaching experience and a Cambridge University degree, I am confident I can help you.

I am an expert and specialist tutor, as well as a passionate and reliable secondary school teacher who will ensure that you get the most out of every lesson by feeling comfortable and confident with the texts and material that you are studying.

Tuition Experience:

I'm an experienced elite tutor and qualified secondary school English teacher. I have taught all year groups and have particular expertise with the senior years and literature topics, as well students with learning needs. I have tutored students from the best schools in London and Melbourne.
I have been teaching English for several years in the UK and Australia. This international experience has resulted in ensuring that progress is made and confidence is developed. I have worked with a wide range of students with varying abilities and I have taught an array of skills including: reading comprehension, essay writing, language analysis and much more.
I also have experience with teaching students that specific learning needs, thus my skills in personalised learning are excellent.

I will listen to your needs and ensure that your English goals are met through careful monitoring, reflection and target setting. I use textbooks, worksheets and school texts to assist your learning.

-Planning and structuring essays

- Quality feedback on essays/work/homework

For VCE

-Comparative study techniques and argument analysis strategies

-I am familiar with a range of VCE texts such as: Women of Troy, Rear Window, The Book Thief, Of Mice and Men, Never Let me Go, Stasiland, A Passage to India, a range of film texts and many more.

-I am also able to help with any queries that you have on Argument Analysis, Text Response, Comparative Essays, as well as general feedback on essay writing.
