Information about Jill - Jill

Personal Description:

I am married, with two sons and 4 grandchildren and live in the NT. I am a retired Research Contract Manager. I am involved in my local community through my membership of a number of not-for-profit organisations. I enjoy spending time with my family, I love to sew and design children's clothing. I am a keen gardener and I an avid reader.

Tuition Experience:

I have Primary School classroom experience, having worked as an Assistant Teacher in a remote location and have also worked as a volunteer support worker with disadvantaged primary school children with learning difficulties. I have also conducted learn to sew classes after hours, on a volunteer basis for the local school children.

Tutoring Approach:

I enjoy helping young children to develop their confidence by improving their reading and writing ability. I am a very patient person and my experience of working within diverse cultural environments, has developed my ability to be flexible and sensitive to children's different learning abilities. Children should enjoy learning and to enable this to happen, they need to be supported and encouraged.
