Personal Description:

My name is Harleen . I am a distinction holder in Bachelors of Education with a Masters in English with Honours. With my experience in multiple curriculums including VET colleges in Australia, I am confident of adopting the most modern educational techniques in enhancing the skill sets of students.
As an experienced High school and HSC /ESL English tutor who implements the best pedagogies to enhance the skills of learners, I am someone who empowers my students by engaging with them in real-life application scenarios so that English learning becomes fun and more enjoyable.

Tuition Experience:

As an English teacher with over 19 years of experience in the National College of Vocational Education, Brisbane Career College Pty Ltd, Intensive English Language Institute-Flinders University (South Australia), Middle East, Africa, and India, I have taught multiple levels of students from Elementary to Upper-Intermediate of multi-cultural backgrounds.
I have been actively involved in curriculum planning and delivering lessons to a range of classes of different ages and abilities using varied range of resources and educational technology. I have also been setting assignments and providing diagnostic feedback and maintaining records of pupils' progress and development. Customizing and modifying lesson plans and question papers to meet the learning needs of the students has been of prime importance to me.
Apart from this, I have been coordinating with staff for providing remedial support for the less abled students after school hours. I have been the subject co-ordinator of Year 9 which involved curriculum planning and coordinating with my team for the execution of lesson planning and teaching. Preparing students for inter-school debates and other skill-based competitions has also been my forte.

Tutoring Approach:

With currently tutoring online, I feel that I am further enhancing my skill set and getting used to the adaptive approach of various platforms like ZOOM. The one-on-one approach online enables me to further make my lessons more enjoyable and in turn, gives that satisfaction to be able to meet the demand of the student.
