Information about Dinuki - Gatton tutor

Personal Description:

I’m currently pursuing my Veterinary degree at the University of Queensland and I absolutely love diving into the world of Science and Mathematics. I have a special interest in Animal Anatomy and Physiology.

I have completed High School and University in New Zealand and therefore have a lot of experience and skills in the subjects that I teach. If I’m not at University or working, you’ll find me enjoying a movie night with friends, painting, or cuddling animals.

Tuition Experience:

I have achieved outstanding results in my academic journey, successfully completing NCEA level 1, 2, and 3 with Excellence and Merit Endorsements. I have been privileged to share my passion for mathematics by tutoring at MATHZ in New Zealand for over two years. During this time, I have had the opportunity to work with more than 30 students, spanning across different age groups and educational backgrounds, providing guidance in areas such as statistics, calculus, and general mathematics. Furthermore, I have also extended my tutoring expertise to subjects like Biology, Physics, and Chemistry, catering to the needs of students ranging from High School to University levels.

Tutoring Approach:

My experience as a tutor has allowed me to distinguish common learning patterns and create a unique plan of action for each individual student. Whether it involves the use of mnemonics, pictures, videos and/or creating unique activities to help understand concepts, my aim is to create a safe learning space for students to grow their skills and confidence.

Based on my personal experience, the more you enjoy a subject the more likely you are to do well. That’s why, as a tutor, I not only teach students problem-solving skills and techniques to achieve better results, but I also strive to instill a sense of curiosity and genuine passion for the subject.
After all, the entire learning experience is more fulfilling and rewarding when you enjoy it.
