Personal Description:
I'm a qualified maths teacher. I love learning, knowledge and the power that education can bring to people.
Tuition Experience:
I'm a maths teacher with 18 months experience teaching Year 7 - 10 students. I've also tutored VCE Maths Methods and Further/General Maths in the past.
Tutoring Approach:
My approach involves asking students to question all of the work they've done to check their understanding of the relevant concepts. Too often students are reliant on technology to spit out an answer without thinking of the answer through to ensure that it makes sense within the context of the question. I ask students to consider other possible answers have them reason with me why those answers are correct. Although knowledge and skills are important, the application of knowledge and skills alongside a deep understanding of the skills required are, in my opinion, what's needed to push students to the next level.
