Preparing for A Level History of Art requires to dive deeply in so many diverse strands of knowledge. Trully a cross-disciplinary field, history of art. It was great working together and exploring so many concepts to do with not only art techniques, but also political, social and cultural contexts within which artworks were produced. From Oleksandr (/5): Arina is clearly a very smart person and knows her subject well. However, we’ve decided to stop the lessons as we found it quite difficult to connect — both for our daughter and for us as parents. While Arina seems like a kind and genuine person, the way the lessons were delivered and the overall communication didn’t really work for us. It felt like teaching and engaging with children might not be her strongest side, despite her intelligence and good intentions.

In our first online session, we worked on a story about aliens and your daughter has a lot of ideas about it and was writing them down. In our second, and the final face-to-face session, your daughter did really well too - she was recreating the story about the Trojan Horse, using new vocabulary in her recount, and then using new vocabulary in her own sentences. She remembered the definitions of new words and then started writing a story from a point of view of Odysseus. It was great for me to see that she completed her homework so diligently. I wish her all the best in her future studies!

She provided perfect preparation to meet my request and the needs of my children (a week of priva**Contact Detail Removed**ssons 1to1 for 1h30 per day for two French-speaking boys aged 9 and 12). She was able to readjust the duration of the lessons (from 2 hours to 1 hour 30 minutes) to their concentration abilities. She gave them homework to make learning as effective as possible. It was a profitable week for my two children. They have improved their English skills a lot thanks to Anna.

From Stella (/5): I contacted Arina to tutor my daughter in GCSE English/Literature which she accepted. Unfortunately, she took ill and the plan fell through. Arina was polite, apologetic and even offered to have the next lesson free if her health improves. However, this did not happened as she continued to feel poorly and she couldn't commit to the lesson as promised.

I apologise that I put you in this situation. Indeed, during February, I had problems with my eyes, and it was a challenge for me to organise new classes during that period. I rarely get sick, and don't have enough experience communicating clearly when I am in such a situation. I hope you found a great tutor for your daughter!
From John (/5): I have worked with Arina since mid 2020 (Yr 11) until the end of my Year 12 studies in 2021. I had Arina for the subject Art and she has been extremely helpful with improving both my theory and practical work. She finds many many resources and information in order to help me improve, I don’t know how she finds them all so quickly but it’s very impressive. Theory side, we’d spend a whole lot of time breaking down questions which assisted immensely due to how specific examiners want information to be structured in their answers. Overall, Arina is very reliable, super friendly and got me through VCE Year 11 and Year 12 studies with ease. I ended up doing well in my study score for Art at the end of it! Thank you Arina!
