Personal Description:
First of all I love teaching, I love sharing what I know and also to be able to learn as I teach. I am a social person and I am very active in social events. I love dancing Salsa, running and Judo.
Tuition Experience:
I am a native-speaker of Spanish and I am highly experienced teaching the language with over three nine years of experience and a strong record of student satisfaction. I have been teaching individual and group classes to people from several countries around the world. I also have significant experience in the tourism and marketing sectors.
Most of my experience has been focused on working with engineers and coders who think very logically and understand systems easily. I also have experience with copywriters, marketing and sales people who are more focused in communication skills and learn by visual and creative activities.
Tutoring Approach:
I believe that each learner has different requirements and my lessons are customised to your needs. The lessons will be based upon your assessment and your goals which we will go over in our initial and free consultation.
I am friendly and I will make you feel comfortable, no matter your level of Spanish. I make sure that my lessons cover all the different skills as well as including cultural information about my country Colombia and all of South America.
I can analyse someone`s strengths and weaknesses and structure the classes to focus on the areas that need the most work.
My concept for classes is that every lesson needs to be created by both student and tutor. I plan for each class but at the same time remain flexible to a student’s changing needs and requests. I encourage students to speak up and aim for a ratio of teacher/student talk time of 50/50.I am not afraid to use English during class, given that in some moments the more fluent the communication, the more efficient the learning.
It’s great seeing students advance and I feel very proud of the improvements I can create in my students.
