Information about Adrian - Heathmont tutor - (19 reviews)
This is how 3 referees rated Adrian:
I have a PhD in theoretical physics and have published extensively in an esoteric corner of quantum information theory (don't ask!). I have worked as a research scientist and as a University tutor in physics. Currently, as well as private tutoring, I am working as a tutor at Trinity College, University of Melbourne, as a chess coach at high school and as a marker and researcher for RMIT University.
Between 1987 and 2001 I worked extensively as a one-to-one tutor in mathematics and physics for year 11-12 and occasionally University level. I was an Associate Lecturer in the Dept. of Physics and Maths Physics, the University of Adelaide in 1992, as well as being employed on a casual basis as a tutor and laboratory demonstrator through the period 1987-2001. I have a broad knowledge of many areas in physics and mathematics and am always ready for a challenge if you have an unusual course.
I like to guide students through the process, making sure they understand all the concepts along the way. I am patient and listen to the difficulties that students are having and try to find alternative explanations.
Online tuition only at the moment (Skype/Zoom/OneNote).
I am also available for proofreading of PhD/Masters theses in physics (rates negotiable).
