Most of the UK is covered by our wide network of tutors, however there are always a few opportunities for new tutors to find assignments in areas where we currently have no coverage. If you are a tutor and can help any of these tutees, please register with us to get in touch and start tutoring immediately! Remember, these are only the assignments where there are no tutors at present - if there is nothing listed in your area that's probably because another tutor is already helping that tutee.
I am looking for a violinist or two for my music group. Hopefully you might know of someone suitable. George
All in Accord Music Group
The group was started by my late wife Barbara, who had been a life-long pianist and accordionist. Initially it comprised Barbara, ****, **** on accordion, and myself on drum kit. Later we were joined by Bill and Les on accordions.
In 1997 the group was reformed as All in Accord II comprising Barbara, Valdek and Sharon on Accordion with me on drum kit and Bass Guitar, and Jean on Violin.
Barbara died in 1999, but we decided to continue, and follow her philosophy.
From 2000 we gave home concerts in aid of Cancer Research and also larger events especially in Arlesey at my piano teacher’s residence, as in the photograph which shows us at our peak membership in 2011.
Photo taken at a concert at the Elmitt Piano Academy in Arlesey.
We continued until my illness in mid 2017, at which point our long term pianist together with our leading accordionist left due to growing commitments. Bill, due to age related matters left us also : a very stalwart member for many years.
After a number of false starts I now have a very talented pianist and two accordionists who are very committed to practice and looking forward to a home concert for friends, relations and neighbours in Linten Close, Hitchin.
What is needed for further development, and for four or five part music is a couple more musicians at least, who could be accordionists or violin, viola, cello players, or perhaps players of other instruments. A typical concert programme is included below
