Personal Description:
I recently graduated with a First Class Honours degree in Biomedical Science from the University of Galway, where I maintained first-class grades consistently across all four years. My degree had a strong focus on biochemistry, allowing me to build an in-depth understanding of both biology and chemistry at a molecular level. This solid foundation, combined with my Leaving Certificate results—613 points with H1 grades in Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Applied Maths, and Maths—reflects my strong academic background and passion for science.
Tutoring Experience:
I’ve gained valuable teaching experience as a university teaching assistant at the University of Galway, where I helped undergraduate students understand core scientific concepts through lab support and guided learning. In addition, I have provided grinds in Biology and Chemistry to Leaving Certificate students, helping them improve their understanding and exam technique. I’ve worked with students of different learning styles and levels, always aiming to build both knowledge and confidence.
Approach to Grinds:
My approach is student-focused, supportive, and results-driven. I tailor each session to the student's individual needs—whether that means clarifying difficult concepts, guiding through exam-style questions, or reinforcing class material. I use clear explanations, visual aids, and real-world examples to make the subject matter more relatable and easier to understand. My goal is to ensure students don’t just memorise facts, but truly grasp the material so they can apply it effectively in both coursework and exams.
