Personal Description:

I am originally from Brazil and have been always surrounded by the Spanish language. I have over five years of experience as a food writer and current affairs journalist writing for Brazilian newspapers and internationally renowned magazines, such as ELLE and Glamour. It was inspired by my partner, who is also a language teacher, that I have decided to become a Spanish teacher a few years ago. In my educational journey I acquired a Master's in Cultural Studies, in Brazil, a Professional Diploma in Creativity, Innovation and Leadership, in Dublin, and a Master's for International Teachers of Spanish Language and Culture, in Salamanca, Spain. I am currently studying a Master's in Education at Trinity College Dublin, properly Garda vetted and registered with the Teaching Council.

Tutoring Experience:

I have experience subbing in Primary and Post-primary Irish schools. I am familiar with Junior and Leaving Certificate and the Irish Education System. I have also worked as a volunteer English teacher for an NGO which supports disadvantaged young students in Brazil.

Approach to Grinds:

Above all, a student must feel safe and comfortable while learning. However, acquisition of any knowledge must be meaningful and fun. So my approach is providing context to make sure the content delivered makes sense to the learner. Every piece of content is approached in a that that brings it to the student's reality in order to facilitate their understanding and retention.
