Information About Sinead - Cork tutor - (1 review)
This is how 2 referees rated Sinead:
I received my undergraduate honours degree in English and Theology along with my teaching qualification from Dublin City University in 2009. I also completed my Masters with Dublin City University in Poetry and the Human Condition. Both of my qualifications are heavily steeped in English literature and it is a subject I am passionate about.
I have 6 years teaching experience, consistently and successfully preparing higher and ordinary level senior cycle classes for the English papers. I have given grinds to individual students from different schools in Cork over the last three years, perfecting their exam skills to manipulate the marking scheme for maximum grades across both papers. I teach Leaving Certificate honours full time in a Douglas school.
Approach to Grinds:
The grinds I provide are always student centered. The student's chosen texts and poets lead the sessions. I will often ask for evidence of previous work to understand where improvements are required and where marks can be easily gained. I put huge emphasis on the essay in Paper I. As it worth 25% of the overall paper I like to ensure that the student will achieve the maximum grade with a strong foundation for this question.
