Information About Shannon - Ennis tutor

Personal Description:

Hi, I’m Shannon! I am a Primary School Teacher who holds a BA in Nua-Ghaeilge and English.

I can provide support for any area of the primary school curriculum.
I currently have some openings for Junior Cycle Gaeilge grinds.

Tutoring Experience:

- Currently working as a special class teacher, having previously taught in an autism class as well as in a multigrade junior and senior infants.

- Led school-based four-week summer programmes and have extensive experience in home-based July Provision and private tutoring.

- Over the past 5 years, I have provided Gaeilge grinds for both Junior and Senior Cycle pupils, and I now have availability for Junior Cycle and primary school students.

Approach to Grinds:

Primary School Tutoring:
My approach is always fun, encouraging, and built around their individual learning style. I focus on making homework and learning enjoyable, using creativity, games, and ICT. The aim is not only to support them with their schoolwork but also to build their confidence, independence, and love of learning. I create a calm, fun environment where children feel comfortable and their progress is celebrated.

Gaeilge Grinds:
My approach to grinds is always supportive, structured, and tailored to each student’s needs. I prioritise building confidence in the subject and breaking the information into clear, manageable steps.
Each session is planned with the student’s goals in mind, whether it’s improving exam technique or developing subject understanding.
