Personal Description:
I have just finished my first year of school placement in a second-level Gaelscoil as part of my master’s in secondary school teaching in UCD (Professional Masters of Education – PME). As a result of this experience, I am confident I can teach him/her in a way that is interesting and engaging.
I have also worked in a primary school as an SNA, helping children one on one who had problems in the class.
I achieved an A1 in Higher Level Irish and an A2 in Higher Level History in my Leaving Certificate in 2015.
Having attended an Irish speaking school for my entire life, I am very passionate about the language. I will provide a solid, exam paper focused understanding of the subject and help convey this information in a timely manner in the exam. I provide complimentary notes with all my grinds so your child will not under pressure to write down all the information during the grind, instead your child can use all his/her concentration and energy for listening to and absorbing the information.
Tutoring Experience:
Worked as a teacher part-time in a secondary school for the 2020/21 academic year.
Teaching learning support classes.
I have given grinds over the course of at least a few months for Leaving Certificate Irish Higher Level to three different students, all online.
Worked in a primary school as an SNA, helping children one on one who had problems in the class.
Approach to Grinds:
I will provide a solid, exam paper focused understanding of the subject and help convey this information in a timely manner in the exam. Let me know what aspect(s) of Irish you’re looking for help with if you're looking for specific help.
I provide notes after every grind completely free (FREE samples available on my profile). They include weekly seanfhocail (old sayings) and nathanna cainte (idioms) that are key to achieving a good mark on your paper 1 composition. Also include detailed and easy to understand grammar notes. Marks for grammar are intrinsic throughout the entirety of both papers making its comprehension and use vital to achieve a desirable grade.
