Personal Description:

I am a student home economics teacher in St. Angela’s College Sligo. I achieved a H1 in my home economics at leaving certificate and a distinction in junior cycle. In person or online grinds are available. I am available for 1 to 1 sessions or group sessions. I am keen in helping anyone who wants to work hard in order to achieve the grade that they deserve.

Tutoring Experience:

I recently completed my placement and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. I taught at both junior cycle and senior cycle level. I have plenty of H1 style answers for senior cycle and distinction sample answers for junior cycle.

I also worked with LeavingCert Plus. This is an online learning platform for leaving certificate students to access high quality resources such as notes, sample answers and quizzes. I worked in the home economics department delivering these resources to the learners.

Approach to Grinds:

I have the ability to cater for all students needs. I use active and engaging teaching methods that ensures focus remains throughout the lesson. Everything is simplified and explained thoroughly to ensure that the learner understands what is being taught. I provide excellent study skills to ensure fantastic grades are obtained.

A very high standard of notes and sample answers are provided and thoroughly explained. This will ensure that the learner gets the grade that they deserve. Examination layout will also be explained.

Throughout the lesson, we will refer to past examination questions. This is a fantastic method of learning as practice makes perfect!

Guidance and assistance will also be provided for junior cycle practical examinations along with the senior cycle journal assignment. These key areas will be focused on throughout the sessions as we progress with the theory.
