Information About Sarah - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

Currently studying for an MPhil in Gender Studies at Trinity College Dublin. Graduated from Cambridge University in 2015 with a BA in English. I spent this past year living and working in Venice for the Peggy Guggenheim Collection and the Art Biennale and am a great lover of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Tutoring Experience:

Have tutored students in London for English A-Level (equivalent of Irish Leaving Certificate). Oversaw their coursework development and taught basic study and essay skills.

Approach to Grinds:

I like to use an informal and often interdisciplinary approach to teaching arts subjects at any level. Students will benefit from seeing the interactions between literature and visual art for example, or the exchanges between Latin and Italian. It often helps to spark ideas and get conversation flowing.

I always teach essay structure and style along with basic study skills at every level, which my previous education has well-prepared me for, given the rigour of producing weekly essays at Cambridge. It is essential to get in good practice at an early stage and helps students to enjoy their studies - which is vital to getting good results!
