Personal Description:

Hi, I’m Saoirse, a graduate with First Class Honours in BSc in Financial Mathematics from UL and I did my Leaving Certificate in 2018, achieving 566/625 points. Working now in Data Analytics, I am currently offering maths grinds for Junior Certificate levels and Leaving Cert Ordinary Level.

I offer grinds for the most part virtually and am open to doing grinds during the school holidays to ensure every student reaches their potential.

Tutoring Experience:

I have given grinds to students who have achieved As in Junior Cert Maths, along with assisting family, friends and peers when it comes to issues with mathematical problems. I have completed many team projects that allow me to understand different points of view with regards to solving equations. I take the time to listen and ensure that any concerns around the topic are answered before moving onto a different topic.

Approach to Grinds:

As a highly approachable individual with exceptional interpersonal skills, my goal is to create a comfortable and supportive environment for students. I welcome their questions and encourage them to express any specific areas they'd like to focus on during our sessions. Drawing from my own experiences as a student for most of two decades, I recognize the significance of effective communication between students and their instructors.

I aim to encourage students to grasp the core principles underlying their studies and to explore the origins of these concepts. Additionally, I emphasize an exam-centric approach, involving the analysis of past questions and hands-on practice with exam papers. However, my teaching style adapts to each student's unique goals, so there isn't a one-size-fits-all approach.
