Personal Description:

My name is Samuel and I am a fourth year physics student in DCU. I am aiming for a first class honours in my degree and received a H1 in both maths and physics in my leaving cert.

Tutoring Experience:

I teach my brother maths and physics for his upcoming leaving cert.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe physics is not a rote learning subject. The style of questions in leaving cert physics and physics in general, require an understanding of reality, a strong set of mathematical and problem solving skills. The subject is simply too vast and interconnected to learn off definitions and formulae. Strong foundational knowledge of a small number of basic principles and an ability to apply this knowledge to tricky questions is key to achieving a high grade in physics. This is what I base my tutoring on, understading.

I approach maths as I would approach learning a new skill. Many hours of concentrated practice is needed to become proficient in maths.
