Personal Description:

From studing Physics with biomedical physics at NUIG, I have gained a deep understanding and expertise in my subject areas, and a genuine passion for science and maths.

Tutoring Experience:

Over five years of experience teaching grinds in Biology, Chemistry and Maths for the Leaving Certificate.

Over five year experience of teaching grinds in maths and science for junior cert level.

I worked with ATU connect to run a Leaving cert Higher level maths revision course for groups of up to 11 students.

I also currently tutor first year students at GMIT in physics with through ATU connect.

Witnessing the progress and growth of my students has been immensely rewarding, and inspiring for me.

Approach to Grinds:

I offer both in-person and online lessons.

I adapt my teaching methods to the student’s unique needs, fostering a personalised and engaging learning experience.

I teach through exam questions and by demonstrating exam techniques. Practising exam-style questions is the best way to achieve success, in my opinion with focus on building problem solving skills.

If a student thoroughly understands a topic and have a good problem solving ability, they should be able to answer any unfamiliar question styles in their exams.
