Personal Description:
Hi, my name is Ross, and I’m a fully qualified Irish primary school teacher with over 10 years of classroom experience. I’m passionate about helping students reach their potential and truly enjoy finding ways to make learning engaging and accessible for every student. I hold a BA in Arts from UCD, where I studied English and Irish for my first two years before focusing on English and Philosophy in my final year. I also completed a Higher Diploma in Primary Education and have been teaching and giving grinds across a variety of age groups ever since. I’m known for being patient, encouraging, and adaptable to each student’s unique learning style. Whether your child needs support catching up, help preparing for exams, or a confidence boost in Irish, I am happy to help.
Tutoring Experience:
Throughout my career as a teacher, I’ve taught a wide range of age groups in primary schools, and I’ve also worked with Junior and Leaving Cert students, providing tailored Irish grinds to suit their individual needs.
Approach to Grinds:
Whether it's building a stronger foundation, improving fluency, or preparing for oral, aural or written exams, I aim to make Irish more approachable and enjoyable. I prepare lessons accordingly through discussion with students/parents and focus on areas where help is required most. I use the Irish State Examination papers as well as personal resources to aid learning.
