Personal Description:

Over 20 years experience as teacher and principal .My qualification is recognized as the equivalent of the Irish qualification only that I do not have Irish which is a prerequisite.I have been doing mathematics grinds for primary school kids in my area for the past 6 years and am so happy with the results.My emphasis is getting fear of mathematics out of all my pupils and getting them to not only improve in but excel in mathematics.

Approach to Grinds:

Start from the known to the unknown
Determine the pupil's understanding of concept
Thorough explanation with examples
Samples with pupil
Work examples slowly with pupil
Determine if pupil grasps the concept
Let pupil attempt suitable number of exercises on concept
Evaluate and give remedial or extension work
Only proceed a to a higher level after determining the pupil is not only eager to do on their own but comfortable to
show a keen interest
