Information About Rachel - Carlow tutor

Personal Description:

I am a third year International Commerce and German student, studying at the National University of Ireland Galway. I am also undertaking a higher diploma in Irish alongside my bachelors degree. I achieved a H1 in leaving certificate Irish and attended an Irish primary and secondary school up until junior cycle. I am passionate about the Irish language and was part of the Irish debating team who won the All-Ireland in 2019.

Tutoring Experience:

I am currently teaching Irish to primary school students online. Previously I have worked on Irish language summer camps and helped younger debating teams prepare for Irish language debates.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to grinds is very much a tailored approach for every student. I firstly assess students and get an understanding of what they would like help with or would like to improve, I then work from there. I aim to speak as much Irish as possible with students during online grinds as I believe that being comfortable listening to Irish, and conversing in Irish provides a great base for learning and understanding all other aspects of the language.
