Personal Description:

Hi, my name is Paul and I am a newly qualified teacher with a passion for Mathematics, Sports and helping people. I have just graduated from university with a 1.1 and have a job teaching Math's and P.E. in a local co educational secondary school.

Tutoring Experience:

I have been teaching full time for almost a year due to school placements and my current job. Through these school placements I have had the opportunity to work in a wide variety of schools, picking up experience and tools along the way. I graduated with a 1.1 in my degree and look forward to teaching the future generations.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to Math's grinds is simple, I teach math by doing math. I place a key emphasis on the actual application of each topic and method in math's and tie this in with higher order thinking. I like to link student's prior learning to as many areas as I can in order to unify strands of math's which previously did not seem linked. Students learn best if they know why they are learning something. There is simply no better way to learn any area of mathematics.
