Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Paul , I’m 21 years old, and I’m currently studying at the University of Galway. I’ve been surrounded by French my whole life — my family is French, and I had the opportunity to live in France, so I speak the language every day at home. I also studied French all through secondary school and achieved a H1 in Leaving Cert French. This mix of real-life and academic experience gives me a strong understanding of how the language works — and how to teach it effectively.

Tutoring Experience:

I began offering French grinds in January 2025, starting out by helping friends and family friends who needed support with their Junior Cert and Leaving Cert preparation. What began as a few casual sessions quickly turned into something more consistent as word spread and demand grew. Since then, I’ve worked with a variety of students at different levels and have really enjoyed helping each of them build confidence and improve their results.

Approach to Grinds:

My grinds are exam-focused, with a clear aim: to help students achieve the highest grade possible in their Leaving Cert or Junior Cert French exams. I focus on the key areas that matter most — grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, written expression, listening, and oral work — all based around the structure of the exam papers. Each session is tailored to the student’s level and goals, whether that’s securing a H1 or improving in weaker areas. I take a structured, no-nonsense approach that still keeps things relaxed and supportive, so students can build confidence and see real results.
