Personal Description:
I am a writer and professor of literature and languages. I have taught at university level and as a tutor to Leaving and Junior Cert students. My fiction and poetry have won many awards both in Ireland and abroad. I have taught in Ireland, Scotland, the United Stated and Brazil. Apart from literature and creative writing classes, I have also taught (at university level) English for Academic Purposes, ESL courses, among others.
Tutoring Experience:
More than 10 years teaching at both university level and privately. I have taught English for all purposes, whether it be the Leaving Cert or English for Essay writing at university level, or English as a foreign language. I hold a PhD with Louvor in Creative Writing, a Masters with distinction in Creative Writing, and a 1st Class Honours degree in English and Journalism.
Approach to Grinds:
Firstly and most importantly I make the classes enjoyable and interesting. I work with students in a relaxed and encouraging manner, to get the best out of their capabilities.
