Personal Description:

Passionate and dedicated fully qualified Maths teacher, with 13 years experience, living in South Dublin. I’ve spent the past 8 years teaching in Ireland, consistently running Maths Homework Clubs to support students who find the subject challenging. Prior to this, I served as Assistant Head of Maths in the U.K… leading intervention programs and providing one-on-one GCSE support. My commitment to helping students reach their full potential began in college, where I tutored disadvantaged pupils. I’m a patient and approachable educator who loves turning maths into a positive experience for every learner.

Tutoring Experience:

I graduated from the University of Limerick in 2010 and, as mentioned, have since gained 13 years of experience teaching Maths, across Ireland and the UK. I’ve taught a wide range of classes, from the L1LP programme to the JCSP, Junior Cycle, GCSE, Leaving Certificate, and LCA, catering to students of all abilities. Throughout my career, I’ve consistently facilitated students to make strong progress. I pride myself on being approachable and creating an environment where students feel comfortable see help when they need it.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach is adaptable and innovative, tailoring strategies to each pupil's needs. I make sure to explain concepts in various ways to ensure full understanding. I emphasise that mistakes are valuable learning opportunities. Building self-confidence is key, so I focus on praise and encouragement to create an enjoyable and effective learning environment.
