Personal Description:

I am a secondary school teacher for approximately 9 years now. I teach Science and maths, and learning support, which can be small one to one classes, to help students when they need support in some areas. I also teach large classes of maths and science and have taken exam classes through their Junior cert and Leaving cert.

I have been doing grinds now for over 2 years and really enjoy it. I see how the 1 to 1 help can really benefit students and pinpoint any misconceptions etc.

*For SENIOR cycle (leaving cert) maths I can only offer grinds at ordinary and foundation level not higher level at the moment.

Tutoring Experience:

I am teaching science 9 years and picked up maths 6 years ago as it was always my favourite subject in school and was always my real passion.
I've taught science in England for over 2 years and now in Ireland for 7 years.
I took up maths in Ireland 6 years ago and have kept teaching it since.
I also have a learning support role in the schools I have worked in teaching small groups, mostly maths, and also do one to one classes.

Approach to Grinds:

Maths: Review of background and basics on a topic, with some question practice before approaching exam paper questions.

Science: similar to above but maybe more conversational based to try and approach it with different wording at first if that helps to gain more understanding.

For science the student can please let me know ahead of the grind which area of the curriculum they would like to concentrate on and i can prepare adequately.
