Information About Niamh - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I am a 21-year old second year BioMed student at Trinity College Dublin hoping to specialize in human genetics next year and go into precision medicine business. I was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York but my dad was raised in Cork so I’ve always had a connection to Ireland and hold an Irish passport. I live in Drumcondra, Dublin 9 with three of my peers from Trinity, from London, Dublin, and the Mid-West of the USA, so I have a very international perspective.

Tutoring Experience:

I have loads of experience babysitting and tutoring for children of ages 3-14 from the time I have been 16 years old. Specifically, throughout high school I was a volunteer for an organization Read718 in Brooklyn, helping illiterate children of Brooklyn learn to read on Saturday mornings. I also have finished with a 1st last year at Trinity, and a 97% on my final exam in Calculus, helping other peers in my course along the way as well.

Approach to Grinds:

I approach tutoring with patience, determination, and advanced prep and organization. For grinds in math, I truly believe the best way to improve is through continued practice, so extra practice outside of sessions would be encouraged and then we can go over the results together the next time. For biology grinds, I find different kids learn best in different ways. For instance, visualization is a great strategy and has helped me immensely in the past.
