Personal Description:

I am a Science, Maths and Biology teacher and graduated in Science Education with Biology, Maths and Science from Maynooth University. I also hold a Degree in Civil Engineering. I teach maths, Science & Biology & have vast experience at various levels.

Tutoring Experience:

I have 10 years secondary teaching experience to date teaching leaving certificate Maths and Biology and Junior certificate Maths and Science.

I have experience in both 5th and 6th class maths grinds also and tutor primary school students.

I have vast experience working with students with SEN at all different levels.

I have taught university Civil Engineering Maths these past few years also.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to tutoring first begin with an analysis or short assessment to see where the student is at. Then have an in depth discussion with them to discuss what they would like to achieve, and what they want to work towards. Then I will plan a series of lessons to whatever will suit the individual needs of the student. The most important thing is to build their confidence so they can achieve their goals. I will continue to work in a friendly and professional manner with and guide them towards their goals.

I use assessment for learning & of learning in all my grinds questioning all the time for thorough understanding. I use exam papers as often as possible for studying and cater for the unique needs of the student.
