Information About Neil - Macroom tutor

Personal Description:

Hello! I am a current student in University Of Limerick, where I am studying Biology and Chemistry Teaching as a first year. I sat my Leaving Certificate in 2022 and understand what is needed to succeed in your Leaving Cert subjects. I achieved 601 points in my Leaving Certificate with 4 H1s and 2 H2s. Grinds are available for Biology, Chemistry, Irish, and Agricultural Science in all of which I have recieved a H1 including 98.3% in my Biology exam. (I cater to all levels of student from Ordinary to Higher and also Junior Cycle Students). I also attended a GaelScoil for my second level education and have a much higher understanding of the Irish language than your average tutor (all lessons are available with Irish notes/through Irish upon request for students attending GaelScoils). My interests outside of Science and Education include guitar, hurling and hiking.

Tutoring Experience:

My experiences include teaching in biology, chemistry and junior certificate science in school, as well as giving grinds in my spare time in the last year. As I have mentioned previously I am studying Biology and Chemistry Teaching in University of Limerick so all my course content is extremely relevant to my tutoring. I have also taught classical guitar for a few years previously.

Approach to Grinds:

My approach to teaching is to highlight and focus on a student's weaknesses in a particular subject area and work with the student to bring these areas up to par aswell as continuously building on their strengths. I also take a very exam realistic approach to study and lessons in order to achieve the highest grade possible for a student and to make students feel right at home on exam day when they open their paper!
