Personal Description:

I am a Physiotherapist well versed with various aspects of Biology, applicable to students from Primary school to University. I have a stellar background with regards to my academics.

Tutoring Experience:

I have an experience of teaching tutorials during my undergraduate study and also tutor students at my current place of study.

Approach to Grinds:

Every student is unique and I strongly believe in personalising the lessons as per his or her needs. The pace of grasping and the liking of the subject play a major role in a student’s ability to excel in it. I shall strive to make Biology interesting to each of my students. I firmly believe that a thorough knowledge of the basic and fundamental principles are of utmost importance. No matter what level of education, i shall begin each concept from the grass root and gradually process such that, the student can memorise it without having to mug up. Biology is a subject where mere theoretical knowledge or learning by heart is not sufficient. Knowing the exact mechanism, the structural and functional workings of each system is important. Diagrammatic and cause-effect approach towards major concepts have always proved to be extremely useful. Moreover, from my personal experience have realised that visual aids like a 3D skeleton, 3D images of various organs prove to be much more effective than merely explaining concepts superficially. I am a health care practitioner. I will be able to quote real life examples to the student, which will help him or her to have a better understanding of the clinical manifestation. Similar concepts have proved to be extremely useful in botany and zoology as well. I am a strong believer in continuous assessment. They help students receive positive feedback as a reward for their hard work and constructive criticism which shall help them ace their examination. These tests will help ease the over all burden of the final exams. I shall strive to tailor notes and study materials for each of the student so that it can be a time saving and more efficient method for revision before exams.
