Information About Muiris - Rathangan tutor

Personal Description:

I am currently a 3rd year student studying a Bachelor of Science in Physical Education at the University of Limerick. I have a great passion for the Irish language and am very interested in teaching it to others. I studied Irish at Higher Level and achieved a H1 in the Leaving Certificate. To date I have achieved First and Second Class Honours in all of my college exams.

Tutoring Experience:

During my time on school placement, I had the experience of teaching all year groups in the contexts of direct teaching and team teaching. I also got the extra experience from observing and supervising different year groups during my time in the school. I worked directly with numerous Junior Cycle Irish classes who all showed an academic improvement as well as a great interest in the subject during my time there. I have also given Irish grinds to students at Junior Cycle, Senior Cycle and Third Level.

Approach to Grinds:

I provide study notes that have proven high results in the Junior and Leaving Cert exams. I ensure that the student has an understanding of the topics and the corresponding notes as opposed to learning notes off by heart. I want to help each student to achieve their full potential by providing them with study notes, corrections of exam questions and informative feedback on their progress.
