Information About Michelle - Rosslare tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Michelle and I am a secondary school Music teacher in the Wexford town. I am very passionate about my subject and love helping students to learn from angles that suit them best. I have been giving grinds for the past few years. I am the primary music teacher in my school - teaching 1st to 6th Year music. I can give grinds to students in Wexford town and surrounding areas.

Tutoring Experience:

10 years teaching Secondary School Music.
I have experience of giving grinds to Leaving Cert music students with focus on set works/ composition/ music theory/ Performance.
I have taught a student junior cycle music as an extra subject outside of school.
I have experience in giving piano and saxophone lessons.

Approach to Grinds:

I believe it is essential to get to know the student and their style of learning. Every students has a different way of learning and that is one of the first things I explore. I get to know a students strengths and weaknesses in the first session and work from there. I aim to allow the students to not only grasp musical concepts they are struggling with but to become confident with them too.

I create interactive exercises for my grinds and ensure in depth explanations of all material. I then develop the students skills and techniques necessary for exams.

Often students struggle with the theory side of music so I have extra resources and packs available for students.

I strongly believe that all students have the ability to succeed if they have the correct support, tools and guidance.

I am available in the evenings during the week.
