Information About Mary - Kildare tutor

Personal Description:

My name is Mary and I am a 22 year old medical student from Kildare, studying in NUIG. I have a fluent French level after attending Lycée Français d’Irlande for sixième in 2012, and spending time in France with living languages in transition year.

Tutoring Experience:

After receiving a H1 in French in my leaving certificate in 2019, I have been teaching French grinds as my part time job ever since. I really enjoying teaching and have found my personal experience with the leaving certificate really benefits my understanding of students.

Approach to Grinds:

I start from the basics and work my way up, always exam focused. I put a big emphasis on all aspects of the leaving certificate paper. I like to approach my teaching through student directed learning, knowing what the student struggles with. I conduct my lessons through developing their weaknesses, as well as their strengths. I test what we have learned with weekly exams and recall learning. I like to build confidence in my students for the exam, making them feel well prepared and ready to perform to the best of their ability.
