Personal Description:

I am a 42 year old male with 15 years teaching experience in various avenues of education. Mostly experienced in post - primary mathematics from 1st year to leaving certificate, but have also taught primary, college and youth reach centers around Ireland. I have also taught in a foreign country for 7 years but now teach adult education in Ireland.

I have a bachelors degree in science and a higher diploma in further education of mathematics. I am qualified to teach both Mathematics and Physics although most of my career has been math focused.

I am patient, diligent and care a lot about my students. Math is a difficult subject for most people and I make it fun.

Tutoring Experience:

My teaching career began directly after college, teaching math to engineers, then I worked in VEC schools and youth reach centers around Dublin, I have worked in many top schools and I have also taught abroad for 7 years, I now teach adults mathematics and I am looking to teach online as I believe many people need help with study these days. I am highly experienced and I have learned to be patient and passionate in my work. I set goals and I keep the work focused and relevant.

Approach to Grinds:

My lessons begin with three examples of the concept and objective of the lesson. This will be to ascertain together your ability at the beginning of the class. At the end of the class the same questions will be given to the student where both student and teacher will observe progress and improvement in real time.

Between the starter and end of class will be a 10 - 15 minute explanation of the concept followed by a 10 - 15 minute practice of the concept by the student.
