Information About Margaret Maeve - Galway tutor

Personal Description:

Hi! My name is Margaret Maeve and I am a first year student in Nuig. I grew up in a Gaeltacht area and have fluent Irish. I have experience teaching Irish grinds on Skype with different children in the past during Covid years, and thought it would be nice to share my knowledge again!

Tutoring Experience:

My students feel comfortable talking to me and expressing any difficulty they are having without judgement. I like to create a fun atmosphere for my lessons where children will be eager to learn more.

Approach to Grinds:

During my first lesson with a child I like to assess what level they are on and plan the rest of our lessons accordingly. Each child struggles with different aspect of language and needs different things. Afterwards I will make out a week to week plan covering things like grammar, reading, writing, and speaking. I like to incorporate games into my teaching to engage students and make lessons personal to a child’s interests where I can (etc finding a reading on something that child has a passion for).
