Information About Lucy - Sligo tutor

Personal Description:

Lucy is Scottish but has spent ten years living in Italy. She is a qualified conference interpreter and translator, with a European Masters in Conference Interpreting. She has also spent two years living in Peru, one and a half years in Spain and two years in France, giving her ample opportunity to master the languages, as well as obtaining degrees in them at undergraduate and masters level.

Tutoring Experience:

Lucy taught masters level students at UNINT in Rome. She co-wrote and taught online CPD courses for professional conference interpreters working at the highest levels. She has also coached one-to-one tuition to conference interpreters with English as their active B language. This last year she has taught Italian, French and Spanish to primary and secondary level students at Cnoc Mhuire Classical Co-operative.

Approach to Grinds:

Lucy will give an initial free half hour assessment of the student to assess their level and specific learning needs. She will then propose a tailored learning plan. Lucy can provide grinds for junior and leaving certificate or she can prepare both adults and teenagers for the European Framework exams (A1-A2-B1)
