Personal Description:

I’m an international mathematics teacher from China, currently studying for my Master’s degree in High-Performance Computing at Trinity College Dublin. I have over six years of teaching experience in international high schools, and I’m used to working with students from different backgrounds. English is not my first language, but I enjoy using tutoring as a way to keep improving my communication while helping others succeed in maths.

Tutoring Experience:

I have taught maths full-time for six years in international schools, covering IGCSE, A-Level, and AP Mathematics. My students have achieved excellent results and won awards in competitions like AMC and Math Kangaroo. I’ve taught different levels—from basic algebra to calculus and statistics—and I’m happy to explain things step by step, especially if students are struggling or learning in a second language. I’ve also done both in-person and online teaching.

Approach to Grinds:

My goal is to help students understand maths in a simple and clear way. I believe in patience and building confidence first. I also see tutoring as a two-way learning experience—I improve my English through conversation, and students improve their maths through my teaching. I’m flexible and always happy to adjust my lessons depending on what the student needs, whether it’s homework help, exam prep, or just understanding the basics better.
