Highly experienced( over 20 years), bilingual and results driven secondary teacher and avid linguist.
Over the years,I have helped countless students of all learner profiles and needs vastly improve and excel in French.
Moreover,I lived in France for ten years prior to qualifying with my PGDE which means I can bring authentic pronunciaion and expressions to your classes (LC Français oral).
My vast teaching experience includes having taught French and English at secondary level in Dublin for years in addition to prior extensive EFL and seconadry experience in Ireland, France and Spain.
While living in France for nine years,I got the opportunity to perfect my French while teaching at a private secondary school in Haute Savoie and Lyon before moving to Paris to teach in 'formation continue.
Moreover, I taught both French and English at secondary level in Valencia Spain for 3 years.
Currently ,I am teaching French in Secondary and providing tailor made tuition in French.
My focus is from Junior cert up to university level and I also prepare students at B2 level for the DELF exams.
SPECIAL FOCUS HL LC French.
Approach to Grinds:
My approach is to make your lessons extremely learner centered!
To this end,I always adapt my lessons very carefully to suit each particular student's learner needs and learner style.
Digital technologies figure consistently as I make all my French focus lessons engaging and up to date.
After an initial lesson,(where I assess your prior language acquisition and areas to focus on ),I go at your particular pace for progress while similtaneously challenging you via active methodologies to build on your learning ,maintain motivation and enjoy learning!!
