Hi there! My name is Lily and I am currently undertaking a PhD in Environmental Engineering in UCC after completing my Bachelors degree in Civil, Structural and Environmental Engineering also in UCC. I currently use mathematical modelling and computer programming in my everyday work. I studied all higher level subjects for the Leaving Cert including Maths, Geography, DCG and Physics.

Tutoring Experience:

I am a lab demonstrator for 3rd year engineering students in UCC and also supervise final year engineering projects. I am also a peer support leader to first year engineering students this year as I was every year since 2020. I offer grinds in the subjects listed above as well as DCG, technical graphics, and junior cycle science. I offer online and in person grinds depending on location.

Approach to Grinds:

The session can be student-led where you identify topics/questions you are finding difficult, I will prepare session plans tailored to these and share them with you, explain all concepts in detail and finally clear up any questions following the concepts discussed.
Alternatively, if it is a general overview/revision of all topics you are interested, I can prepare a revision plan for a set period of time following the junior cycle/leaving cert curriculum.
