Information About Leonie - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I am a French native and certified teacher with a 6 years teaching experience in Ireland. I have a passion for languages and history and love sharing my own culture.

Tutoring Experience:

I’ve taught different types of learners throughout my career: from toddlers to secondary and third level students as well as adults (Business French, Irish Defence Forces, Department of Foreign Affairs, European Commission).

I’ve been teaching for the Alliance Française (Cork and Dublin) for nearly 4 years and started teaching for Languages Unlimited in the European Commission offices in Dublin.

I had the opportunity to prepare for the Junior Certificate and Leaving Certificate examinations for which I hold excellent results.

I also worked as a French assistant in grinds schools (Hewitt College, Blackrock Tutorial Centre, Essential French Language College Limited) where I prepared Leaving Certificate teaching material and gave oral practice and Leaving certificate mock oral tests.

I can also prepare for the DELF and TEF exams as I am an accredited examiner-scorer.

Approach to Grinds:

Depending on the students’ needs, I always do my best to engage them through creative materials, demonstrations and other means to increase retention and understanding.

On a one-to-one basis, I will tailor the instructional program to the individual student's needs and will hopefully make the language learning fun and easy.
