Information About Lauren - Dublin tutor

Personal Description:

I am a university student studying Biological and Biomedical Sciences in Trinity College Dublin. After receiving 7 H1s in my Leaving Cert in 2022, I have first hand experiencing in approaching exams in a manner that maximises both your potential and your time. I received 100% in Irish, 99% in English and 98% in Biology and was recently asked to correct Mock Exam papers for the school from which I graduated. I also achieved all A's in my Junior Certificate. I am a kind, chatty and compassionate person who has a uniquely current knowledge on tackling very challenging State exams.

Tutoring Experience:

Having attended a grinds school for my final year of secondary school I understand the importance of a safe, welcoming and productive academic environment. I have experience in helping my friends improve and enhance their capabilities, often having examined their essays and helped in any areas in which they were having difficulties. I also have years experience in childcare, during which I would often do the homework regime.

Approach to Grinds:

Each of my grinds is tailored to the needs and learning style of the student. I remember how incredibly daunting it can be to be to have one-on-one teaching with the fear of judgement only increasing any stress surrounding exam difficulties. That is why I aim to create a comfortable, encouraging and (hopefully!) fun learning environment. I understand the stress that students today are under, that is why my grinds are aimed at alleviating this stress by going at a pace that is suited to each student. My grinds are exam focused as I learnt from my own experience that familiarising yourself with the layout and structure of an exam builds confidence and makes the actual exam itself a lot less scary!
